Employee shoots librarian at Northeast Campus

At 2:15 p.m. Monday, a part-time employee at the Northeast Campus, fatally shot a librarian then sat down and waited for the police to arrive.

Neither the identity of the 38-year-old male victim nor the 62-year-old male suspect has been released. The victim had worked at the college for a year, the suspect for two years.

I am an English major at UTSA. I am contacting you in regards to the flyer that was placed in The Paisano this week concerning the front page excoriation of English Professor Ivo Slavnic. I must admit that I was quite shocked to see that someone would have the gall to write such an article as the one I perused through, which in my earnest opinion and under my suspicion seemed to exude a vindictive, opportunistic and rather unprofessional disposition aimed primarily at sullying the good name of whom I consider to be a great professor at this fine institution.
