Circa 11 a.m. Monday morning, members of the Newly Blessed Baptist Church handed out very important cups of hot chocolate. Trinity students deserted Martin Luther King Drive for the sidewalk upon calls of "free coffee, free chocolate" in a scene that somewhat resembled a kindergarten snack-time in shoving and grabbing.

With a wood frame of two-by-fours and a late-'80s AM radio, Sophomore Ty Mylnar can travel through time, forward and back. All he has to do is change the direction of his battery. Though time travel of any kind may seem absurd or impossible, Sophomore Jonathan "Jon" Simpkins' short film achieved just that, and swept the KXTX 881 FM Film Festival in Lubbock recently, winning the most awards out of the 15 to 20 Texas independent films screened.

Even with her bent for productivity, Paine's influence on campus has been felt far beyond her official duties. Dean Tuttle, who says he shared an office suite with her when she first arrived, describes her as having an "easy style to work with." "I think that you don't often use the words 'laid back' and 'vice president' in the same sentence," Tuttle said.

Success prompts changes for 'Broadway Revue'

Student-produced show now features bigger, better spaces, crowds, possibilities
"Broadway Revue" attendees should be on the lookout for some significant differences from past performances. For instance, performances won't be held in the Attic Theater, the Revue's original location. The student-produced musical revue has so far exceeded expectations over the past two years that, this year, the show won approval for performance in the much larger Steiren Theater.
