As a Californian and a gay man, I was deeply upset, offended and shocked that Proposition 8 passed last week in my home state. The California Supreme Court ruled on May 15, 2008, that same-sex couples were guaranteed the right to civil marriage under the Equal Protection Clause of the California Constitution.

The prestige that comes with a Trinity degree, the tightly-knit community and focus on diversity are all things we've heard about.

It's not even Thanksgiving yet, and still the winter holiday commercials are out in force. Going to the grocery store is soon going to be unbearable due to all the holiday music. Have you ever noticed how places like shopping malls and Northrup have 'holiday decorations' that are really Christmas decorations?
Now there is absolutely nothing wrong with Christmas decorations, they are beautiful and let's face it, other winter holidays are a bit more difficult to decorate for.
