Now I'm not going to lie, I actually like the idea of the Common Curriculum. I think it's a pretty cool way to get students to try new things and expand their education. In fact, I think we should add even more caveats into it. For instance, in the new common curriculum, you must complete one of the following from each category.
Understanding Cultural Heritage: 1) Live with a foreign roommate for at least one semester. 2) Go the route of greats such as Angelina, Madonna and Bruno and adopt a foreign baby. 3) Become a platinum-selling rapper.
Understanding the Arts and Literature: 1) Splash paint on a canvas and convince a buyer that someone famous did it. 2) Read Harry Potter and learn the intricacies of Quidditch. 3) Become a platinum-selling rapper.
Understanding Human Social Interaction: 1) Learn the art of Facebook stalking. 2) Learn the art of actual stalking, and then learn about the social interactions in prison. 3) Become a platinum-selling rapper.
(I pretty much think that anyone who becomes a rapper should automatically graduate at the top of the class from Trinity. Trinity does have a history of producing rap stars. Just look at Chingo Bling. If you don't know who that is, Google it. It's totally worth it.)
